It happens every year… Well at least for the past 4 years anyway. The 2012 Kentucky STLP – Cnemania Contest is kicking off another year with a new website. In the past we’ve communicated and ran the contest strictly through email threads and announcements. Well as we are now close to 100 teams…
That’s (almost) 100 Teams!!!
I didn’t think we’d get to this many teams this quickly. But it’s a great opportunity for students to show their creativity! The first year we had 12 teams, then 25, then a little over 50… now nearly 100 (97 to be exact). It’s going to be nice doing most work and communicating through the website. Just incase you are not familiar with the state-wide contest (a blurb from the site)… Kentucky Cinemania is a 48 hour state-wide student video competition for STLP (student technology leadership program) participants. Double top secret elements are released at one specified announced time to all participating teams. From that point, students have only 48 hours to: think, collaborate, write, design/plan, brainstorm, write some more, shoot, re-write again, edit, produce and distribute a final product to be judges. The goal is critical thinking, communications, collaboration, and most certainly creativity.
