UPDATE: So the Smart Converter is actually a free download in the Mac App Store, I must have grabbed for some project at some other point in time. It’s not hidden in Lion… rather by a great software company called ShedWorkx.
Maybe I’m just slow… but packed inside of Mac OS X Lion are tons of hidden gems! I just found the new Smart Converter by accident. It is awesome! It does a great job, is really really fast, and will now take the place of what I used to use QuickTime for (in terms of converting file types). The fastest way to launch it is by going Spotlight (upper right hand corner magnifying glass) and simply typing: SMART. Bam!
Hello ; I don’t where you find your Lion but there is no Smart Converter inside Lion from App Store. Smart Converter is a little third party app, that you can find in App Store, or on the developer site. Il just install it. Best regards. Jacques
